Rivers excited for Crean's system
When Tom Crean took over at Indiana, he was quoted in various media outlets as saying that he would consider accepting transfer players from other Division I programs.
That sentiment became a reality last week when it was announced that former Georgetown guard Jeremiah Rivers would be leaving the Hoyas to join the Hoosiers. Rivers, a 6-4, 205-pound sophomore, will have to sit out his first year in Bloomington and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2009-10 year.
Rivers said he made the decision to transfer largely because of Crean, who was enticing because of his offensive system.
