Salesianum has once again recieved the top seed as they will look to win a sixth straight state championship. Standing in their way will be Independent Conference champion Tatnall, and the two will square off Wednesday night at 8PM at Caravel.

In order to accomplish the task, the Sals will have to step up their play, as they only managed to go 1-1-1 in their final week of the season.

In a tough three game stretch, Sals lost their first in-state game in over two years to Caravel Academy. Two days later, they bounced back to beat Charter in double overtime, and then tied Archmere in their season finale.

The Charter School of Wilmington recieves the second seed and will face the Tigers from AI DuPont Thursday night at Caravel beginning at 6PM. Charter finished with a record of 13-1-1, with their only loss coming to Sallies in a thrilling double overtime game.

Caravel Academy grabs the third seed and will get a chance to revenge an early season loss as they face Appoquinimick in Dover on Wednesday night at 8PM.

The 4th seed goes to Henlopen Champion Seaford. Seaford has had a dream season, going 14-1 with their only loss coming to Caravel back in mid September. They will get to play Sussex Tech, whom they beat 2-1 in the first game of the season. Tap will be 6PM in Dover on Thursday.

The most intriguing match up may be the fifth seeded Middletown, playing against the upsurging 12th seed St. Mark's who have won 6 of their last 8 since Kyle Ward has returned from injury. The game will be played in Dover Thursday night at 8PM.

Indian River,(6) will face DMA,(11), and number 7 Concord will have their hands full with 10 seed Archmere. St Elizabeth finished with a best ever 12-2-1 record and will face CR in the 8-9 game.

DEPreps is predicting that Archmere, St. Marks, and Sussex Tech will provide first round upsets. The final four will be played at Appoquinimick and will have Sallies playing St. Mark's and Caravel against Charter. This should be one of the most exciting tournaments in years, and Archmere, St. Mark's, Seaford, Caravel and Charter should all have an opportunity to dethrone the Sals.
