Delaware's Vollyeball Tournament is set to begin this Saturday, and top ranked, two time defending champion, Ursuline High School has claimed the number one seed. The Raiders had their 19-match winning streak snapped by St. Mark's earlier in the season, but have bounced back to win the last 9 matches in a row, including a 5 game thriller against Padua on October 30th.

Ursuline opens against 16th seed Appoquinimick High School. Archmere gets the number two seed and will open against 15th seed Polytech. Padua gets the 3rd seed and will play the Middletown Cavaliers in the first round. St. Mark's is the four seed and gets a red hot Caravel team that has won 6 of their last 7.

One of the most intriguing match ups would have to be the 8th seed A.I. DuPont's balanced attack, taking on 9th seed Caesar Rodney. The Riders are closing the talent gap between the upstate and downstate schools fast.

Independent Conference winner Friends will take on St. Elizabeth's, 5th seed Charter goes against Delmarva Christian, and 6th seed Concord will play 11th seed Wilmington Christian to round out the pairings.

Tournament play begins this Saturday at various gyms, and the 2nd round will be on November 10th at St. Elizabeth's and St. Mark's. DEPreps.com is predicting that the Padua Pandas will win it all, beating Ursuline in the finals. The other semi-finalist will be Charter and Archmere.
