One school got is long awaited championship and the other was able to return to the top spot after a long hiatus. This weekend saw Milford and Caesar Rodney rise to the top of Delaware High School football. It was a historic weekend for not only the schools that won, but for downstate football.

On Friday night, Milford High School used a dominating defense to defeat the Laurel Bulldogs by a score of 20-0.

On Saturday, Caesar Rodney exacted revenge on Sussex Central and defeated the Knights by a score of 26-13.

In a state the size of Delaware it is only natural to ask, is it possible that the Division II champ could defeat the Divison 1 champ? Milford and Caesar Rodney are less than 20 miles away from each other. In a question the harks back to the great Middletown (D2) and Newark (D1) squads of the late 1990's, who is the best football team in Delaware?
