It was so good to see Milford standout point guard, Ashley Young, back on the court. She missed the last season and a half with two ACL surgeries. She is clearly the best ball handler/ point guard in the state. It will take her a little while to get her legs/speed back but she still had 12 assists & 5 steals and controlled the game against Sussex Central. If she came out of the game just to give her knee a break, you could tell a big difference and they had to put her right back in. I hear that she has several colleges recruiting her still and she narrowed her college choices down now, but I don't know where exactly where she plans to go. Diamond Turner looked very good too. She is an underclassmen who plays in the post and is about 6 foot or so. She had 8 blocks against Sussex Central. They have a another girl LeShay Coward who is a pretty descent guard too. Despite the lost of Aaliyah Davis (went to Cape Henlopen this year), they should still have a pretty descent season.
