Wesley College in Dover recently announced a $1.1 Million
renovation to Wolverine Stadium.  The field has been used by five varsity
teams (football, Men's and women's lacrosse and men's and women's soccer).
"The extensive use of the stadium turned the field into a mud pit"
said Coach Drass.  "We will go from having maybe the worst field on
our schedule to maybe the best".  The renovations include a new
"Field Turf" playing surface, a new state of the art surface used by
many pro and college teams including Paul Brown field (home of the Cincinnati
Bengals), Papa John Stadium (home of the Louisville Cardinals) and most pro and
D1A college practice facilities.  Also included in the renovations is a new
press box, twice as large as the old one, new visitors stands and total
renovation of the home stands.  Renovations also include lights, pedestrian
walkways and a fence around the playing surface.  The seating capacity will
now be about 2,500.  Wesley may be interested in hosting some high school
games in the future and the lights will allow for later practices in October and
November.
Wesley won 6 of their last 8 games last season to go 6-4 and
return their entire starting offensive line that includes 3 All-Conference
players (Wayne Zenorini - Hodgson, Matt Burgess and Butch Spurry).
They also return starting Quarterback Chris Warrick, All-Conference Tight End

Wide Reciever Jesse Makowski from Sussex Central on
offense.  They also return 2004 team co-captain cornerback Rocky Myers
